Python crypto sentiment trading bot prototype
What it is
A Python prototype that uses OpenAI to classify cryptocurrency news headlines as bullish, bearish, or unknown, then executes orders on the Binance Spot Market. It is split into two decoupled components — a Sentiment Generator and a Trading Bot — that can run on the same machine or separately, communicating via Redis publish/subscribe or local persistence. The bot supports a configurable strategy, dry-run mode against the Spot Testnet, and backtesting on historical headlines. Developers experimenting with news-driven crypto strategies are the intended audience, though the authors explicitly state it is for demonstration only and should not be used in real trading.
