FinanceDatabase
Free searchable database of 300,000+ financial symbols
What it is
A Python-based collection of over 300,000 symbols covering equities, ETFs, funds, indices, currencies, cryptocurrencies and money markets, stored as readable and editable CSV files. It provides essential information per symbol โ sectors, industries, exchanges, issuers and countries โ letting users explore what products exist across the market. Private investors and analysts looking for a broad overview or to find lesser-known instruments fit well, especially in combination with the companion Finance Toolkit. It is not intended to supply up-to-date fundamentals or price data, as those must be sourced elsewhere.
