Typed client for CFTC futures positioning reports
What it is
A zero-dependency TypeScript client reads the CFTC Commitments of Traders reports, covering Legacy, Disaggregated, and Traders in Financial Futures in both futures-only and combined form, through the official Socrata API. It can return one market's latest row or a filtered history, and a small helper converts the text columns into numbers. Futures and foreign-exchange researchers who want commercial, speculative, and managed-money positioning without writing queries by hand are the audience. A market name is only a contains-match, so it can land on a similarly named contract or a listing that was later renamed, and a stable history needs the contract market code.
