Python client for the FRED economic data API
What it is
A Python client for the FRED API, the economic database run by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. It wraps the API calls so macroeconomic and financial time series can be searched and downloaded into Python. Developers and researchers who need US economic indicators for quantitative research are the target users. The data covers economic series rather than market prices, so it complements rather than replaces a price data source.
