ta-lib
Core C library of standard technical analysis indicators
What it is
A widely used open-source library implementing the standard technical analysis algorithms that other libraries often test against. It provides over 200 indicators, including ADX, MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands and candlestick pattern recognition, with both batch computation and a streaming API for live feeds. Native implementations exist in C/C++, Java, C# and Rust, with wrappers for Python, R and other languages, making it a good fit for developers integrating indicators into their own trading systems or tools. Being written in C, it typically requires compiling a native dependency or installing it through a system package manager before the higher-level language wrappers can be used.
