Wire-level accounting for market-data WebSocket feeds
What it is
A standard-library Python probe that opens one public market-data WebSocket and records what that session puts on the wire. Business messages, rates, and payload sizes are counted apart from heartbeats, subscribe acknowledgements, and control frames, and permessage-deflate is reported as not offered, refused, accepted, or unsolicited. Engineers comparing which exchange feed is heavier can apply that one accounting path to every venue instead of mixing numbers from different client libraries. It measures a single connection and is not a market-data client or a load generator, and the bundled self-test runs without contacting an endpoint.
