yfinanceapi
Thin Python client for Yahoo equity and FX quotes
What it is
A small Python client that reads Yahoo Finance's unofficial JSON endpoints for listed equities and currencies. It returns prices and volumes for ticker lists, including names outside the United States, and currency levels and timestamps measured against the US dollar. Developers who want a short quote lookup, rather than fundamentals or a full history stack, can install the package and call the helpers shown in the project page. Those helpers depend on an undocumented vendor endpoint that has changed without notice, and they cover quotes only, with further symbol rules left in the source docstrings.
