edgar-sec
Typed Python access to SEC company filing facts
What it is
A Python client for company-concept disclosures on the SEC EDGAR service, installable with pip or from conda-forge. Lookups return dataclasses, a local cache skips repeated downloads, and the same methods exist in synchronous and asynchronous form, as in the documented call that takes a central index key, a taxonomy, and a tag. Researchers and developers pulling structured filing facts into analysis code are the audience. Uncached requests are capped by a built-in rate limiter, and the call needs those SEC identifiers rather than a ticker symbol.
