Normalized SEC filings for desktop coding agents
What it is
A Python package that starts a local MCP server against a hosted SEC EDGAR API, exposing normalized financials, Form 4 insider trades, 8-K events, and 13F holdings. Company search resolves a ticker or name fragment, and each financial payload includes a link to the source document on the SEC site. Developers connecting Claude, Cursor, or another MCP client to US issuer filings are the audience, and the process expects a RapidAPI key in the environment. Filings show up after a delay rather than at acceptance time, and the API omits intraday prices, options, non-US issuers, and analyst estimates.
