R client for Brazilian Central Bank series and FX
What it is
An R package that loads Brazilian Central Bank open data into a tibble, an xts or ts object, or a data frame. Coded series such as the dollar rate and the IPCA price index come back from one call, several codes can be requested together, and Focus survey expectations are available at annual, quarterly, and monthly horizons. Economists working in R can also download OLINDA or website FX quotes in Brazilian reais and a cross-rate matrix. Only series that the central bank publishes are returned, and currency parity does not use one convention for every symbol.
