Unified Python prices from Yahoo Finance and Coingecko
What it is
A Python library that retrieves asset prices through yfinance and pycoingecko behind one symbol interface. A symbol can return the latest price, a price on a chosen date, or a history and a chart, and a collection of symbols can be searched, saved to YAML, and loaded again. Caching and timed waits cut down repeated calls, and server errors are retried. People pulling equity and crypto quotes in one place should check the currency in the result: the currency preference applies to Coingecko and not to Yahoo, and Coingecko history covers only one year.
