edinetdb
Structured financials for Japanese listed companies
What it is
A hosted database of figures parsed from annual securities reports on Japan's FSA EDINET, mapped across JP-GAAP, IFRS, and US-GAAP so companies can be compared on shared fields. A JSON API and an MCP server return company series, rankings, and a rule-based health score whose formula is published, and each number links to the original filing PDF. Investors, engineers, and academic researchers working on Japanese equities are the people who query it, including names that have since delisted. An API key is required, and the product is a filings store rather than a price or estimate feed.
