pandaSDMX
SDMX client that loads official statistics into pandas
What it is
A Python package that implements SDMX 2.1, the format national statistical offices, central banks, and international organisations use to exchange data and metadata. It can explore providers such as the World Bank, BIS, ECB, Eurostat, OECD, and United Nations, parse SDMX-ML or SDMX-JSON from files or from validated web-service queries, and convert the payload into pandas objects with caching. Macro analysts who want official statistical series inside a Python workflow are the audience. Only publishers that offer SDMX are reachable, so a source that does not publish that format is out of scope.
